Looking Forward to Visiting Tennesse
JJ and I have been RVing for the past two years now. For the first time ever, we are headed east to Tennessee.
We are what some call "weekenders". Once a month we take a long weekend and travel to a state park near by just to get away. We also take one week out of the year to vacation in our RV. Last year we traveled to Angel Fire, New Mexico but this year we are looking forward to visiting Tennessee.
In all of our years vacationing, we have always gone west. We have seen Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. This year I wanted to go east.
When we were planning our vacation, JJ asked "where would you like to go". I said "I want to go east. Let's go to Tennessee." Of course from where we are, Tennessee is about 1,200 miles away and he didn't want to drive that far. So, he said "Why don't we go to Yellowstone?" I said "That's northwest. I want to go east."
So, now we are going to Tennessee.
We are so looking forward to this trip and yes, it is going to be a very long drive. We are going to take two days to get there so we can spend as much time there as possible. We plan on staying at an RV resort in Dandrige just north of Gatlinburg. We plan on shopping and touring Gatlinburg, hiking in the Smokey Mountains and much more. But what we are really looking forward to is just being away.
I know there are a lot of things to do in Tennessee. If you have any suggestions, let us know. We'll look into them and report back later.
Until then. Happy RVing!!!!
